How to use this reference

BallestasIslands.com is an independent travel guide. We are not SERNANP, a reserve authority or a tour operator.

Checked October 2026: the published adult rate is S/11 for national and foreign guests. Local adults pay S/5. The listed minor rates are S/3. A footnote beside the national-adult rows offers a combined ticket for the reserve and Ballestas. Confirm eligibility and validity before relying on that offer. Keep reserve, island, pier and transport charges separate.

The Paracas National Reserve entrance fee in SERNANP's published 2026 tariff is S/11 for a foreign adult's one-day visit. The table also lists national and local categories. Reserve entry admits you to the site. It does not pay for the vehicle, boat or museum. Check your ticket category. If you have a package, ask which entry it covers before paying again.

For a compact comparison with island admission and museum entry, use the dated statistics and entry figures.

Which Paracas National Reserve entrance fee do you need?

For a land circuit in Paracas National Reserve, check the reserve admission line. For a Ballestas boat trip, check the island-sector admission and the embarkation charge as well as the commercial boat fare. These are different visits even when you buy them from one seller.

The reserve fee does not take you between beaches. You still need suitable transport for the circuit and the return. A ticket price is therefore only one part of an independent visit's budget. Ask a driver for the vehicle cost separately so the full amount is clear.

If a tour includes entry, ask which entry it means. A seller's “national park ticket” line may refer to one protected-area charge rather than every charge on your day. Request names, categories and a dated total instead of guessing from a broad label.

Official fee categories: checked October 2026

The table above transcribes the Paracas row of SERNANP's 2026 tariff image. It is linked from the official public ticket service's tariff page. Amounts are in Peruvian soles, written as S/. The heading states that these rates are valid per day.

The tariff's first footnote gives free entry for children under five and adults over 65 in the national and local categories. It does not extend that wording to foreign visitors. Ask SERNANP how the rule applies to your party rather than assuming the same exemption for everyone.

Footnote two says local guests need a DNI. A hotel stay in Paracas does not by itself prove local eligibility. Check the residence area accepted for that rate and bring the document the authority requires. Do not buy a discounted ticket first and try to resolve eligibility at the gate.

The tariff gives national, local and foreign columns. It does not show a separate general student rate for Paracas in this daily table. A museum student rate is a different charge. If someone offers a reserve student discount, ask for the applicable official rule and proof requirements.

Why the source and date matter

Fee tables are easy to detach from their dates. An old screenshot may look just as clear as a current one. Use the authority's page and the named reserve row, then confirm it close to departure. The table above records what the public 2026 tariff showed when checked; it is not a guarantee against later changes.

The tariff image cites Presidential Resolution 349-2016-SERNANP and carries a 2026 heading. Read the current published table with its footnotes rather than choosing an amount from the year in a resolution number alone. Promotions can also add conditions that are not obvious in a copied price list.

Reserve, island and pier charges

The same 2026 tariff gives Ballestas Islands its own row. It belongs to the protected system of islands and guano headlands. The separate row matters when a day includes both the mainland reserve and an offshore boat. One destination name on a voucher does not establish both admissions.

For a boat day, the commercial fare covers the service sold by the operator. Ask if the fare includes island entry and the pier charge. If not, find out how to pay them. Do not pay a second time simply because a different person asks at check-in. Show the voucher and ask which line remains unpaid.

For a reserve day, the vehicle circuit can be shared or private. Its fare may include park entry, guide service and pickup, or just the vehicle. The operator should itemise those parts. A lower headline can become a higher total if the admission and return are both extra.

Keep the museum separate too. The Ministry of Culture manages the Julio C. Tello site museum's admission information. A reserve receipt does not establish museum admission.

Ask if the group enters the galleries. Find out who pays for that ticket. Then compare the two routes.

Combined tickets and the published promotion

Footnote five in the 2026 tariff states a promotional Paracas and Ballestas combination for S/17. The footnote marker appears beside the national-adult entries for those two places. Do not assume that it applies to every category or that a foreign adult can use the same promotion.

Before buying, ask which category qualifies, how long the combination remains valid and how each visit is recorded. Also ask whether both parts must be used on one date. The footnote alone does not explain all those practical details, so they belong in your travel-date check.

This promotion concerns protected-area admission. It does not turn a reserve circuit and a boat trip into one transport service. You still need a boat seat. Add the land vehicle if you want it, plus any extra pier charge.

If your seller quotes a combined ticket, request its official name and included admissions. Compare the saving only after you know you can use both parts. A combined ticket may save nothing if you skip one visit. Wind or a fixed bus may limit what fits.

The public tariff's multi-day sections do not list Paracas among their named rows. Do not apply a general two-day or month-long rate from another protected area to this reserve. Ask SERNANP for the correct option if you want to return on a second day.

What a tour price includes

Read the included and excluded lists together. One may say “entrance tickets,” while the other lists museum admission as extra. Ask which sites that broad wording covers. Ask for the site name. “Everything included” still leaves the scope unclear.

For a private quote, specify the number of adults and children and the required category. Ask whether the amount is per person or for the vehicle. Then confirm the route hours, any waiting charge and the return point. These can cost more than the admission itself.

For a shared circuit, check pickup and the meeting point. A fare from the office may differ from a hotel pickup outside its normal area. Ask whether a meal stop is simply time to buy lunch or a meal already paid for. Avoid counting an optional extra as an included benefit.

Use the Paracas tour comparison to choose the correct kind of outing. Once the route is clear, compare totals for the same date and party. A boat-only fare and a land-and-boat total are not useful price rivals until their scope is separated.

A practical way to compare two quotes

Put the mainland entry on one line and transport on another. Add the museum only if you plan to go inside. For a combined sea-and-land day, add the island entry and facility charges. Mark each as included, payable locally or not part of the visit.

Then ask each seller about any unclear line. Keep the final reply with the booking so you can show it at check-in. If one total includes a concession rate, confirm that your documents qualify before treating it as cheaper than a full-rate quote.

How to verify and pay

Start with the official tariff and your dated itinerary. Check the site name, one-day category and any footnote that changes the amount. If the amount on the payment screen differs, stop and ask for the reason before completing payment. It may reflect another category or a revised rate.

Use the official ticket route or the channel your booked operator clearly identifies. Check the web address rather than following an unrelated payment link from a message. Keep the ticket or receipt and any reference needed to show admission. A bank payment alone may not be the admission document.

Ask what payment methods are accepted at your planned purchase point. Do not rely on contactless payment, a particular card or a cash desk without checking. If paying cash, carry a sensible amount in soles and ask for a receipt. Keep spending money secure during the visit.

For children and concessions, confirm document rules before leaving town. Take the actual accepted proof, not an assumption that a photograph will be enough. If your party has mixed categories, list each person in the right group rather than multiplying one adult rate by everyone.

After a change or cancellation, ask the issuer about the entry ticket separately from the tour fare. A transport refund may not follow the same rules as an unused protected-area ticket. Get the process and any deadline from the responsible issuer rather than assuming one refund covers both.

Before an independent visit from Lima

The entry fee is a small part of the journey plan. In addition to road travel, you need local transport for the reserve and enough time to return. Check the reserve visit from Lima guide before buying a ticket around a tight same-day connection.

For an overnight stay, decide which day you will actually enter before purchasing dated admission. A morning boat and an afternoon circuit may fit one plan, but each needs confirmed operating details. An extra night gives more choice; it does not make an unused ticket automatically transferable.

Sources and check date

The amounts above come from SERNANP's official public 2026 tariff, checked October 2026. The table keeps the authority's currency and visitor categories. The table links the promotion to a footnote. This guide keeps that limit instead of assuming the offer suits all guests.

Check the source again before you go. Ask the issuer who can use the ticket and on which dates. Keep the admission decision separate from the commercial quote. That gives you a clear answer about what you have paid and what remains due when the visit begins.

Work out your party's admission subtotal

As a simple example, two foreign adults at the published one-day rate would pay S/22 for the mainland reserve entry alone. That is two times S/11. It is a calculation from the listed tariff, not a tour quote. It leaves out the vehicle, food and any other visit.

If one adult already has valid reserve entry included in a booked circuit, do not add the same S/11 again without asking the seller. Check the voucher first. The useful budget is the amount still due, not the sum of every price you have seen online.

For a mixed party, calculate each category on its own line. Then add the lines. Do not multiply the local adult rate by all guests because one member qualifies. The documents and rules apply to each person, and a mixed party can have more than one rate.

The same care applies to the combined promotion. First confirm who qualifies and the dates it covers. Then compare the cost with the separate admissions that those people would actually use. Keep anyone outside the offer's terms on their own line.

Next add the commercial service in its quoted units. A S/22 entry subtotal for two adults does not mean the private vehicle is also priced per person. Ask whether the vehicle quote covers the party or each seat. Then add any museum tickets you need.

Keep that final sheet short enough to use at check-in. Mark paid items and the amounts due locally, with the currency beside each. Save the receipts with it. You can then ask about a new charge by name instead of paying it simply because the day's total has become hard to track.

Verdict on the Paracas National Reserve entrance fee

For the Paracas National Reserve entrance fee, budget the published S/11 one-day foreign-adult reserve entry, then add the transport and any separate visits you choose. Check concessions with proof and confirm the combined promotion's terms before relying on it. A clear itemised booking is the best way to avoid both missing charges and duplicate payment.
